Live: The Roxy Theatre

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to cover the concerts of Chris Lightfoot and Jason Hemmens at the legendary Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd. It was my first time there and hopefully not my last. Upon entering the iconic venue, you can feel the rich history of those who have played there before.

Corporate building in Los Angeles

Art & Texture (Architecture)

I think I have a thing for buildings. I like the way they create shapes and space; how their lines lead from one to another. Below are a few shots I have accumulated during my trips to downtown L.A. and various pockets of random corporate buildings. Enjoy!

Matador Beach in Malibu California

One Year…A Go

One year ago, I made the journey of a lifetime. Thankfully, I have had a lot of opportunities to explore and capture some of my new surroundings. Below are some of my favorite images from said surroundings.

Nyla Hammond music

Nyla Hammond Music

Say hello to my friend Nyla. I had the privilege of meeting her during my first trip to California and instantly knew she had soul. Nyla is currently making her way through the local LA music scene, so I decided to help her out and provide a few promotional images for her to use.

Here + There = Everywhere!

Fact: I love to go on adventures. Just me, my camera and an iPod full of music. That’s all I need. Recently I had some opportunities to go adventuring to some old and a lot of new[ish] surroundings. From a parking garage in Louisville, KY to the Spanish inspired stylings of the City Hall building in Pasadena, CA…I love what I found.

Family in Simi Valley California

The Kolarcik Family

Say hello to the Kolarciks. I met them within the first couple of months of being here in sunny California and have become really good friends with them. They are a super artistic family (see links below) that loves Disneyland…so what’s not to like?

Couple sitting on Vasquez Rocks

Adventure: On The Rocks

Yesterday my friends and I ventured out to what is known as Vasquez Rocks Natural Park (Vasquez Rocks for short). Not to bore you with geological/pop culture information, but according to a very reliable source (Wikipedia) these rocks are caused by the San Andreas Fault and have been featured on various T.V. shows…

Dream to Achieve

Recently I had the privilege of having some of my friends help me out with a couple of ideas I had running through my brain. My goal was to try new things while shooting and also during the post processing…process (thanks photoshop).

Sunrise in Kansas

Here + There: Indiana to California

As some of you may know I recently moved from the amber waves of Indiana to the shark infested waves of California. So far, the move has lived up to its billing (e.g. challenging, rewarding, refreshing etc.) but I figured it would when I made the jump.
